no students should have homework because many students can remember the subject and be proficent. some students need help and can go to tutoring. the reasons why i think that i do not think that we dont need homework is because you give us quizes and tests. thats why i think that we dont need homework. in some cases we would need home work but for some level based classes we shouldnt, thats what i think.

I think students should have homework. To a certain extent we shold only have five questions a night. We get two pages of homework and some kids dont even try they guess but when you have only five or so questions it would be easier to learn. I still want to have homework because without homework you can work more on what you did in class that day and it will refresh your brain. That is what I think about giving student homework.

I think students should have homework. Most students, including myself, don’t like homework but honestly it’s a necessity. Homework helps us remember what we learned in class and sticks it in our memory. Some students may not understand what we did in class and homework helps them understand better. Maybe it shouldn’t be given every day but if the teacher is tackling difficult lesson homework can help make it easier. Also it helps the teacher see if we understand what we are learning or not and if we need more help. Homework helps reteach what we did in class and as much as us students hate it its very useful without us knowing. Homework could be the difference between failing a class and getting an A.

Homework is a controversial topic for students and teachers. On one hand it can raise a student’s grade point average, while on the other hand it can hurt students who are forgetful or don’t understand the material well. It is good for teachers and students because it provides a chance for students to practice and develop their skills on their own. It also provides a chance for teachers to see how well a student is on a subject and what help they need to advance. So it is a double-edge sword and it can also be bad for a student’s grade when they copy off of their friends and it might help them in the short run but it also will hurt their teacher’s ability to help them learn. There is also a chance that a student can’t focus on things such as homework when at home because of reasons of their own or just simple inability to focus in certain environments. I think homework should be given out to those who need it and can do it but not have it affect their grade.

Homework? Eww No! Every teenager or child is more likely not to want homework. Why? Homework is taking up our free time when where not at school Monday through Friday. It’s a quit selfish thing to do we come to school from sunrise to almost sunset and we have to go home and keep working and practicing. Homework makes some people depressed and highly aggravated! But when reality sets in homework is for the best we need it no matter how bad we don't want it. Too bad we live in reality and Homework is here to stay. But everyone isn’t the same there are some kids who aren’t lazy and value the fact that they have homework.

Yes, I think students should have homework. Students should be given homework to review the lesson learned that day. Students need to review what is learned to be prepared. Giving homework helps the student master the subject without the teachers help. On the other hand, students should not be given a lot of homework. I feel that giving students a lot of homework stresses them out, resulting in errors and incorrect answers.

I think that we should not have homwwork. Why? Well whats the point if we have 6 hours of school we have lots of time to learn. Sometimes we dont get how to do it and we dont have anyone to help us with it most of the time. We dont even do our homework most of the time. That would only be another bad grade in our report card. Homework dosent really help us if we dont know what we are doing half of the time. Another thing is they give us way to much homework if we dont get the things they leave us then how is that ever going to help us? It will only make us more stressed out about our grade in that class.

Homework is supposed to be there for a purpose. Although, teachers sometimes have intentions of giving you homework for no reason; it doesn’t help with any skills, it’s just there. I think it should be given a little before class ends. Everyone will have time to start on it and if anyone needs help, there will be help. That will limit the students excuses of why they haven’t done it. Students who are proficient in the subject at hand, I feel, should not have homework. Homework is supposed to be extra practice, not just a grade in a book. I believe that homework should be given until the concept is well-known, but not so much homework piled on that it’s hurting them more than helping them.

Home Work

I think all students should have home work.Home work helps you recap and that days lesson and bbe more prepared for the next day.But most teachers give home work just to give it out. There are positives and negatives to having home work. I think that the this teachers should ask there students what they think about this subject.

I think students should have homework because it helps them review about what they learned that day. Often teachers give us homework based on the things we learned a certain day. If they didn’t we would immediately just forget everything they talked about or taught us. Also this is a good way to know if you understood the lesson completely or if you didn’t get anything about it. With your teacher giving you homework it will help you fully understand the subject of that day’s lesson. Homework can also help as your notes or study guide. Like if you’re having an important test and you can’t remember anything about what the teacher taught you. You can always go back in your binder and look at your homework and use it to study. I know homework could be a very boring and unnecessary thing but if you actually think about it. It’s actually really helpful!

I honestly believe that homework is necessary.Sometimes the way teachers give it out is not really needed.I personally think that homework should be given out if you dont understand the assignment of the day ,or if you didnt finish a assignment. Then you have to do it at home.I also believe that teacher's should not give out alot of homework ,because they may never know the extra things that the student has to do outside of school. They may have a job, sports, or they may have a lot of chores when they get home.

I don’t think we should have homework because… Some people have busy lives outside of school. Many people play sports or volunteer, some may even babysit. Another reason is we have more than one class a day and if every teacher give us homework then we stay up half the night, meaning we don’t get enough sleep and sleep in the classes the next day. Also most of the time teachers either just give you a hundred or take forever to grade it so in the end it doesn’t benefit the student in any way. If teachers do grade it most of them never go over it. Plus the internet has most of the answers and worksheets. So the next day when the student doesn’t turn in the homework the teachers make a big deal out of it some never thinking to ask the student if they understood or not. So as for homework completely unnecessary.

I think that teachers should not give homework because the things that we learn in school sometimes we don't recall it the first time but the second time we should review it in class not for homework. Students should not have homework becuase we have a life outside of school like sports and other stuff. Sometimes when students don't do their homework teachers get mad at them but the teacher doesn't know what is going on the outside of their school life and that might be the case why they did not complete the assignment. Sometimes I think that teachers just give homework to punish us for talking to much in class or something else and not for practice. We should not have homework because say if you have math in the moring you do not remember everything you learned that day and the teachers except you to remember everything for you to do your homework when you get home from school. Homework sometimes takes hours to do and some students just get overwhemed by it because they think it is to much and they want to enjoy being a teenager and do things that teenagers do.

I think that students should have homework. The reason why I think students should have homework is because students need to review the material that they’ve learned at home so they can understand it better. In realty not many students do their homework because they feel as if they already reviewed it so what’s the point. The point is they need to master the subject not just know it partly. Teachers should give the right amount of homework that was to do with the subject. I feel like teachers shouldn’t take up the homework for a grade because if the student doesn’t understand the subject they will mostly not get the homework correct.

If a teacher is going to give out homework I think they should give out an assignment, with 3 different things for the student to choose from. The student will then have homework every other weekday but they can do it in an order that they choose. Sometimes if a student doesn’t know what they’re doing they don’t do the homework because they’re afraid of looking dumb so homework might not help them in those cases. Other students might just forget about it and move on to doing other things such as using their electronics. For students that know what they’re doing they shouldn’t have to have homework because they already understand their assignment

I think homework can be a good thing, but sometime doing it by yourself it hard because you forgot. Sometime in homework there are things that we didn’t go over as much as the other materials. I think student should only get homework if they need it. Homework should be giving to the people who need more help and other who want to learn more about it. Student shouldn’t have lots of homework, because they tend to feel that it’s too hard or don’t know it at all. The purpose of homework is to help kids on the subject or by just giving a hand on what they did today.

Homework should be given once a week and based on the material we are currently learning and not in piles. The purpose of homework is for the practice and the teacher to see if he or she needs to reteach the material. Homework is helpful to students that already know the material and students that have the basis understanding for the material. Homework isn’t helpful to students that don’t understand the material because they will become frustrated and not care about the homework given. Some students may argue that they know the curriculum so they shouldn’t be assigned homework. While some students may learn a subject all in one setting they still need to practice at home by their selves because it’s easier to do material at school when students knows there is a teacher there to assist if needed versus doing it at home with no help.

Dear Mrs. Kratzer,
Some teachers just give us too much homework and expect us to get it all done in one night. I know that some teacher think of their student and not give us too much homework at least enough that can get done. Because they know that the students have other thing to do after school. I do think homework is important for student to review what we have learned for that lesson. Sometimes we can have trouble with homework especially if we don’t understand it and not only we don’t understand we also have to do other things at home.
