Angie Kratzer has been teaching in Guilford County, North Carolina since 1990. She began her career at Sylvan Learning Center (1990-1991) and then spent eight years at Dudley High School (1991-1999). From Dudley, Mrs. Kratzer went to Grimsley High School, where she taught for six years (1999-2005). During the 2005-2006 school year, she stayed out of the classroom to write full time. From 2006 to 2009, she served as Secondary ELA Curriculum Specialist for Guilford County Schools and then came back to the classroom at The Academy at Central in 2009. She is currently working on her third book, a biography of jeweler David Webb.
