English 9 and English 10: Read 300 pages of fiction or non-fiction in your "zone of proximal development". The only way to become a better reader is to build your skills at your current reading level and then begin challenging yourself. If the text is too difficult, you'll get frustrated. If it's too easy, you won't grow. To be in the "zone" means to find material that is just right.
